Sonia Duggan CPCC ACC is an accredited life coach, parent coach, writer's coach and writer, offering individual coaching, workshops and retreats.
Sonia Duggan created Inspiration! to combine coaching with the things most close to her heart: creativity and parenting.
Sonia offers one-to-one coaching either over the phone or Walking the Talk in local countryside. She also coaches internationally using Skype and has clients ranging from her home town in Surrey, to Australia.
Sonia Duggan trained as a parenting group facilitator with the Parent Network in 1997, and she started to deliver the 12-week Parentlink courses in which she worked with groups of parents to develop their parenting skills. The courses help parents to increase their children's self-esteem and improve communication and relationships within the family. She offers individual coaching for parents and also runs morning and evening parenting courses in Surrey.
This work led Sonia to a deep interest in, and commitment to, personal development. She trained as a co-active coach with the Coaches Training Institute (CTI), one of the leading coach training organisations in the world and the first to have its programs accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF). Sonia is accredited by CTI and ICF, and adheres to the ICF Code of Ethics.
To deepen her skills on coaching writers, in 2011 Sonia trained on the Coaching for Writers course run by Relational Dynamics 1st, which was sponsored by NAWE (National Association of Writers in Education) and Arvon, and accredited by Performance Coach Training.
Sonia Duggan is a writer of fiction and non-fiction, poetry and prose, for children and adults. For Sonia, Inspiration comes in many shapes and forms and they all have their place in her life. She loves to help writers who are just starting out and lack confidence as well as successful authors who need to boost their creativity or overcome writers' block.
In July 2009 she designed and delivered two workshops called 'Feel the Fear ... and Write it Anyway' for the Elmbridge Literature Festival. The Arts Development Officer called it 'fabulous'. This workshop will be repeated for the Elmbridge Literature Festival on 12 November 2011.
Sonia is a qualified teacher and taught maths in a local secondary school as well as working in infant and junior schools as a supply teacher. Before setting up her Surrey-based coaching practice full time, Sonia worked in marketing for over 11 years, copy writing, copy editing, editing technical manuals and proof-reading. Her reputation for creativity was achieved at one company she was working with the second time she returned from the Ladies having had yet another flash of inspiration. After that, her colleagues would jokingly suggest she went to the Ladies whenever they needed creative input ...
